Public Realm Committee Updates

The PRC's current focus areas are final planning for the entrance park areas after you cross the bridge into Key Allegro, restoration of the bayfront area along Bay Shore once the revetment project is completed, and the new bulkhead on the East side of the entrance.

Entrance

- The rock groin has been completed on the east side of the entrance (left side as you enter Key Allegro).

- We can now begin construction of the concrete and sheet-pile bulkhead on that property. The bulkhead will be similar to the one installed at Bay Shore and Finisterre.

- We are planning a new Key Allegro sign, flagpoles, lighting, and landscaping in that area, and restoring the grass across the road on the west side.

Bay Shore Beach Area

- The major revetment project is nearing completion. The plan is to reestablish grass in that area as part of the County's contract with Orian, the contractor for the revetment project.

- Once that is completed, we will look at installing new irrigation and a few plants along the bayfront.
